Top Dog

I forgot to mention...

At Kaylee's school, Jeremiah Gray, they have the Top Dog Awards. The Top Dog Award honors students for displaying the "Edison 8 Core Values." One student from each class is nominated by his/her teacher each week. Students' names are announced on Friday afternoon announcements and they are presented with a Top Dog Ribbon! And as you may have guessed, our very own, Kaylee Rider, was nominated this past week by her teacher, Miss Jenn.

Way to go Kaylee! Our Top Dog! An excellent way to begin her future as a PKA bulldog, I might add! :)

Halloween

Last weekend, we celebrated Matthew's birthday with his mom and dad. They came to Indy on Friday night. We did some shopping for the birthday boy on Saturday; he got some new dress shirts and ties. Then we went to dinner at Red Lobster (Matthew's favorite spot!). It was delicious! Sunday, Matthew preached his first sermon and did a fantastic job, on his birthday. Thanks to everyone who sent him cards for his birthday and kept him in your prayers for his sermon. I cooked lunch, so we came home for that and then opened presents before seeing Kenny and Jacquie off. Matthew received a GPS from me, mom and dad, and his parents, which will come in very handy as he travels to his interviews. He had is first interview on Friday and it went very well! He has another one this Friday and every Friday after that until Thanksgiving! He is doing Sport Medicine this month, but since today was his first day, I don't know how he feels about it, so I'll get back to you on that.
On Thursday, I took Sydney and Bre with me to visit Kaylee at school who was having a FAll Party. Kaylee was so excited to wear her costume and has continued to wear it everyday since. Everday she wants to know what I'm going to be for Halloween. I've tried to tell her it's over for a whole year, but she's not giving up hope!
Sydney is good. The girls both enjoyed Halloween. We didn't do any trick-or-treating because the girls didn't seem to care and it's a lot of trouble to get them in and out of the car; however, our friends Michael and Lisa had a Halloween Party at their house and we all wore our costumes to it and came home with lots of goodies.
I have attached a slideshow with lots of pictures. I hope you enjoy taking a look. The girls are getting so big! Sydney is so close to walking; she's got the skills, she just won't do it. One of these days she's just going to take off and then, I'll be in big trouble. Kaylee is such a big talker. She loves making up her own songs and dancing to whatever music is playing in her head.
We do hope that all is well with all of you and that you are having a great November!
